Keeping Seniors Warm is a volunteer-driven community program that provides winter necessities to up to 100 older adults 55+ in the City of Greater Sudbury. Seniors attend a shopping event at Giant Tiger Lasalle and can spend up to $175 for clothing, shoes, slippers, winter coats, boots, mitts or hats that they need.

We hold various fundraising events during the year to raise the funds needed for this program and welcome individual donations and corporate sponsorships. All donations over $10 are eligible for a tax receipt upon request. Note that we do not accept donated clothing.

The organizing committee is a subcommittee of the City of Greater Sudbury's Senior's Advisory Panel. The City of Greater Sudbury provides insurance and registration/logistical support. Other major partners include Giant Tiger, the Ward 8 and Donovan/Elm West Community Action Networks, and St. Joseph's Foundation of Sudbury who provides tax receipts on our behalf. Other community partners provide support for our events as needed.

We are currently looking for additional people to help us on the organizing team. Contact us for additional details about current opportunities!
